The muzzle brake is wrong for a PAK 40...

It's a Marder II with a Soviet 76.2 anti tank gun on a PzIID chassis.

Changed my mind again.

The 76.2 gun has a recuperator above the barrel that would stick out beyond the shield and would be visible in this photo.

So it is a Marder 2

Back to the Picture of the King Tiger which was identified in the most futile of fashions...    :O :eek: :confused:

it's a Porsche turret, opposed to the Henschel turret that saw the majority of the production. The difference is that the front of the Porsche turret is rounded, and the Commander's Cupola bulges out to the side a bit. Designers were worried that the rounded turret would deflect rounds on to the top of the Driver's compartment
