It still doesn't negate the fact that until the 60's they had to ride on the back of the bus and use different rest rooms, ect ect. And before the 60's women were largely expected to stay at home and raise the kids and do the laundry.

Translation:  I really screwed the pooch on those dates but I don't really care that I made that crap up as long as I am right about something.    :lol

The only part you were right on is the part I bolded. During WWII women worked in the factories by the thousands building tanks, planes, ammunition etc etc. While many women did go back home after the war, many others stayed in the work force.

crock-it...  I would say that sex education in school and planned parenthood and abortion has caused more harm than good if you take pregnancy rates then vs now.

Bsd..  yep.. that is how you come off..  just as kids scream "I hate you" to their parents from time to time.   Your real enemy is the liberal socialist metrosexuals.   I understand that you are angry with the republicans and feel betrayed but it has been a slow process and will take time to get back on track... Palin is a huge step in the right direction..  why so mean and glum?  Hell.. I told ya at the time that you were wasting your time and money and getting all worked up and setting yourself up for a big ron paul hangover.

As for effective... what is the most effective form of birth control to you?  I think that should be mentioned in any sex education eh?

lazs

Na the women isn't a step in the right direction because she can't keep her religion out of politics. I have no issues with the woman her self and I'm glad she fought corruption in Alaska. However that doesn't mean I think she's ready to be the next pres of the US if McCain flop over or for that matter the VP. The fact she can't leave her religion out of politics is the exact reason she isn't ready to lead.

She is exactly like Bush in that regard she would only serve for "part" of America and not "all" of America. She wants to push intelligent design in public school. Ok lets talk about that and assuming you believe all that mombo jombo that is still putting a "select" part of the Christian religion before all other religions and forcing it's beliefs to be taught in school. How can you of all people support that Lazs? Hell not even all christian believe in intelligent design.

After all the times you have complained about wanting less govt control, you are now supporting someone who wants to force govt control and the religious views of a select group on all others?  You going to support teaching of the Koran in school next? How about scientology? or the flying spaghetti monster? What about the words of Buda or any of the many other religions practiced here in this country that was based on "freedom of religion" you going to support all those too?

Oh and on the corruption, lets not forget she was for the big money earmarks before she was against them. She managed to get something like 20 million in earmarks while she was mayor of a town with 9,000 people living in it. She was also for the bridge to no where before she was against it. Her and her husband were also apparently members of a Alaskan separatist group back in the mid 90's.

You can't keep your left wing liberal views out of politics. No one expects you to keep your views out of politics so why do you expect her to?

What does this have to do with corruption? The woman is against wasteful spending. What was that 200 million spent on?

Link? Considering how many times you have pulled facts out of your anal orifice I'll believe this one when I see it in print. (Maybe not even then depending on the source.)

So what? They obviously changed their minds about Alaska seceding since they left that group after being in it for only 2 years. This might be a point of concern if they were still involved with that group.

Actually.....

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/morality

From same source

mor·al (môrl, mr-)
adj.
1. Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character: moral scrutiny; a moral quandary.
2. Teaching or exhibiting goodness or correctness of character and behavior: a moral lesson.
3. Conforming to standards of what is right or just in behavior; virtuous: a moral life.
4. Arising from conscience or the sense of right and wrong: a moral obligation.
5. Having psychological rather than physical or tangible effects: a moral victory; moral support.
6. Based on strong likelihood or firm conviction, rather than on the actual evidence: a moral certainty.
n.
1. The lesson or principle contained in or taught by a fable, a story, or an event.
2. A concisely expressed precept or general truth; a maxim.
3. morals Rules or habits of conduct, especially of sexual conduct, with reference to standards of right and wrong: a person of loose morals; a decline in the public morals.

Without the blue highlighted - examples -  religious morality; Christian morality.

Not that moral standards are not Christian - it is just that-- morally--- one would expect the fact that they were used as examples - would actually be pointed out.
Skuzzy-- "Facts are slowly becoming irrelevant in favor of the nutjob."

I'm not running for office, she is and it would be her duty as VP to support all Americans not just the one's she agrees with.

On the 200 million I meant to type 20 million but was thinking of the 200 million dollar bridge to nowhere. I originally read it was between 20 to 25 mil so I was typing 20 to give the benefit of doubt and ended up adding a extra 0. The forum screwed up and I couldn't go back in and edit the change till after your post. According to MSNBC it's not 20 or 25 million but actually 27million.

Also the town I heard two populations, I heard the 6700 & 9000 so I gave the benefit of doubt and went with the higher population however it turns out it's the lower at 6,700. So this women who supposedly is against wasteful spending didn't mind getting 27 million of federal fund to her hick town in Alaska with a population about the size of the average player base of this video game.

link...  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26504638/

As for the anti US group they were in.. she recently gave a video conference speech for their yearly convention, so I wouldn't say they dropped out and no longer supports them. She obviously still supports them if she's giving them video conference speeching for their conventions. Not to mention if Hillery Clinton had been a member of the Socialist new world agenda while in College you guys would be squeaking in moaning about that. Or better yet if Obama had been a black panther member we would never hear the end of it.

Yet of course a Alaskan separatist group is no big deal if you are Republican..

The simple deal is McCain screwed up when he picked this women. He has known he would be the Republican choice for months. Yet he put himself in a position to have to pick a "secondary" VP choice at the last min. If he screwed up this bad on his most important decision for his campaign, how bad can he screw up this country? This just show his lack of good decision making skills if he can't even pick a VP with out this much dirty luggage.

From your own link:

Quote
There was $500,000 for a youth shelter, $1.9 million for a transportation hub, $900,000 for sewer repairs, and $15 million for a rail project -- all intended to benefit Palin's town, Wasilla, located about 45 miles north of Anchorage.

Do those not seem like reasonable projects to you? They don't appear to be wasteful projects to me.

Point is, no one is asking you to drop your political views. You are only griping about hers because you don't agree with them. You can't separate her from her views anymore than we can separate you from yours. It's ridiculous to think otherwise.

How do you know it was a secondary choice? From what I read, he took several months to make this decision and considered quite a few different candidates.

Just because you don't like his choice doesn't mean he doesn't have good decision making skills.

Considering the money went to a town with the population of 6,700 people then hell yes it's wasteful spending of US tax dollars. How many hick towns do you know of that get 27 million in federal assistance for things like youth shelters and a transportation hub. What kind of transportation hub does a town of 6,700 need? Hell they probably don't even have a walmart..  :rofl

According to the NY times there is no way she was properly vetted given the time line.

The mere fact they have have a team in Alaska now checking out her background just shows the fact they didn't do it ahead of time. If they had checked her out beforehand they wouldn't be doing it now.

Maybe you should check out what kind of transportation hub they got and what it is being used for before you imply they didn't need one. Same thing goes for the youth shelter. Or maybe send Palin an email and ask her. ;)

Oh you won't like it if I tell you what it was.. it was 1.9 million for a Alaskan Transportation Museum. So for a town of 6,700 can you maybe admit that was wasteful spending?

Yes that that just shows he rushed into the decision..most likely in a vein attempt to get Hillary supporters once he found out Obama didn't pick her. So he likely picked her for nothing more than votes vs what might be best for the country.

On top of that, does the federal govt pay to repair the sewers your town? Well they did in hers.. Hell the fed govt wont even pay to fix some of the private levies to help protect New Orleans but I guess they will pay almost 1 million to fix the sewers in Wasilla via federal ear marks.
