Yes that that just shows he rushed into the decision..most likely in a vein attempt to get Hillary supporters once he found out Obama didn't pick her. So he likely picked her for nothing more than votes vs what might be best for the country.

He picked her based on her pro life stance, amongst other views she has. Two other people he was considering were not chosen based on their pro choice stances.

Oh you won't like it if I tell you what it was.. it was 1.9 million for a Alaskan Transportation Museum. So for a town of 6,700 can you maybe admit that was wasteful spending?

Not if it has helped Wasilla's ability to attract tourists, which would in turn help it's economy and directly benefit it's residents. In that case, it would not be wasteful spending. It would also not be wasteful spending if it is used not only by Wasilla, but also by neighboring towns for education purposes for the schools.....you know, field trips.

On top of that, does the federal govt pay to repair the sewers your town? Well they did in hers.. Hell the fed govt wont even pay to fix some of the private levies to help protect New Orleans but I guess they will pay almost 1 million to fix the sewers in Wasilla via federal ear marks.

I don't know who pays for sewer repairs here in Broomfield, nor do I particularly care.

The feds have given millions and millions to Louisiana for maintenance and building of levies over the years and much of it has been wasted.

The more I dig into Palins background, the more I like her.

I keep digging for a big money connection between her, her local campaign for mayor and her 2 campaigns for state office.

I can't find a corporate connection.

I can't find a corruption connection.

She even bypassed the republican machine in getting elected... then carved the crooks outta the republican party and canned them. Smart. She navigated a cesspit, remained untainted, got herself elected with grass-roots support.

She's merciless when she runs across abusers of authority, is strong on crime, forced thru ethics reforms, makes smart fiscal decisions and seems to be more interested in doing whats right for constituents and the constitution than she personally feels is right for her own family.

She seems to have a damn good grasp of what a legislator should be... and an immense disdain for politicians.

I keep hearing the democrats wailing... and I wonder.. if she's such a lousy choice, why are they in a lather?

I notice that the Republicans in power are mute... especially the dirty ones. Could it be they fear her reform stance and ferocity in fighting corruption?

Could it be that McCain intends to use this 'weapon of mass disruption' on corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle?

If she's 'clean', she could be 'untouchable'.... if mcCain's elected, it'd be dangerous days ahead indeed for the cretins on the Potomac.

I still like her. I think she'll be a good VP. I have hopes she'll make a great president too, one day.
