Apparently this isn't going to be a shotgun wedding:

Quote
Levi Johnston's mother said her 18-year-old son left Alaska on Tuesday morning to join the Palin family at the convention where Sen. John McCain will officially receive the Republican nomination for president. The boy's mother, Sherry Johnston, said there had been no pressure put on her son to marry 17-year-old Bristol Palin and the two teens had made plans to wed before it was known she was pregnant.

nice too see a boy become a man, because he wanted too, instead of because he was forced too!

Heard Hannity say today that we now know more about Palin's daughter than we do NoBama. Goes with what BJ229 posted.

I would hope so...but we do not know about all words said behind closed doors.

In one of these other Palin threads (we really ought to keep them down to one or two at most) I raised the question of how she will handle the pressure of this...Her whole life is getting turned inside out, and put on public display. I wonder how much longer she can handle it...especially her daughter, who is starting to get used as some kind of political pawn, and not just by the opposition, but it looks like by her mothers' party as well.

I think the best thing about this whole affair was Obama telling his people to stay the hell away from them, or they're fired. Showed a lot of class there.

Still, it presented a good face to the press.  He has two kids of his own.  Remember Amy Carter?  Maureen Reagan?
Children of the politicians play prominent roles in the legacy of their parents whether we like it or not.

You gotta admit, Storch-alot of his predecessors (on BOTH sides of the aisle, including McCain) would have been flingin' this turd high and far. I mean, this girl is 5 months pregnant...and all of a sudden, she is thrust into the national spotlight, in the middle of a national election no less, in which her own mother is involved. Imagine the stress and strain on her; I'm sure she can read a newspaper or watch a tv. Anytime her name is mentioned in the news, connected to her mothers' political campaign, in some kind of a negative story, blog, whatever, How will she take it? Will she blame herself?

I just hope that the poor girl doesn't lose the baby over all of this.

Ummm, by her family being an example for the world to see that "abstinence-only" sex-ed, which she supports, doesn't work.

How does her getting pregnant prove that abstinence-only sex ed doesn't work? I am sure they know what a rubber is and she goes to public school I imagine where the don't teach abstinence they teach put a rubber on it. So I could just as easily say rubbers don't work either.

Abstinence works EVERY time it is tried. can't get that % whit rubbers even or the pill.

The reason she got pregant is because she had sex, not because the Mom believes in abstinence.

I saw that refrence to the Alaska Independence Party... made me smile; confirmed something else I like about her.

If my state referendumed for independence, I'd vote yes. Who the hell wouldn't want to throw off the federal yoke?

Damn.. that should be a vote available for every state. ;)

So much for the "America first" line then right?

After looking at the Palin family picture in one tab, and the pictures you posted from perezhilton.com in another, I am convinced the photos from perezhilton.com do not contain a Palin family member.

You didn't look very hard then.. The group she hired for the ear marks was none other than Jack Abramoff's law firm.

Your point? The Justice Departments inquiry into Jack Abramoff didn't even start until the spring of 2004. Sarah Palin was required to know he was involved in illegal activities before he was even investigated? She was required to be able to see the future and know that he was going to be convicted on 3 felony counts?

Another lame attempt to discredit the woman.

Did she get the earmarks?

Well, if we all want pork barrel spending for our states, then why complain about it in the first place?

LOL...  crock-it is foaming at the mouth over Palin.. over every tiny little thing that the...  wait for it... new york times, msnbc and moveon.org have to smear her about...

This is exactly the kind of reaction I had hoped for.. the oh so sensitive and caring liberal democrats smearing the hell out of a ....   a...   woman... over what?

I can't find anything I don't like.. she wants ID mentioned in schools.. duh.. She cut spending and increases service..  wow.. how awful!  she was in a group that wanted to put to a vote secession...  that REALLY is my kind of gal..  she promotes being responsible for your own actions and her kid is doing that by getting married and raising the baby inside her...

She is a lifetime member of the NRA and hunter and shoots AR15 rifles and knows that they are not "assault rifles"

she gets the liberals all shook up and raised money for Mccain..

I can't see anything about her that I don't like.. crock-it and the neeeew york times.. have not made me see it any other way.. if anything.. them not liking her proves to me that she is the best he... and we.. can choose.

Oh... and I know a little about sewage treatment..  it is indeed 1 in ten that get the federal funds until you get down to smaller communities and then it is more like every other one..  the reason is....

The EPA is such a tyranical and unreasonable federal government with so many senseless and EXPENSIVE regulations that no small town can afford the treatment plants they mandate...  some small cities in kalifornia are getting grants and the citizens are still paying $150 a month or more for sewer fees for worthless regulation...  there is your osambama crowd.. the EPA...
