Nothing but time can repair damage on the CV hull itself, but theoretically field supplies should reduce the downtime of radar and auto acks that are on the CV.  If the CV is within a 500 lb bomb of being sunk there is nothing that can be done to change that.

Now there's an interesting thought. I guess you'd have to land supplies with a C47 from some nearby field.
I never even considered this as an option.

generally if the cv is damaged it's in deep dodo...so flying a c47 with supplies will do little good.  CV battles are either successful or not.

I believe the supplies will just fall right through the CV deck, no?

Thats why its drives me nuts to see CV attacks going on while the enemys ords are left up, and VH is left up. But most of all its the ords. I take ords being left up around our CVs as a personal affront.

I've actually done it where I porked the ords at the 5 nearest bases. It is long and tiring to do so but worth it in the long run.

Yep, ordinance should be the first thing that's taken down, maybe even before the shore batteries  :lol.

There is no shortage of skill-less Lancstuka bomb n bail pilots in the virtual skies, and I pray  that HTC somehow manages to curb their numbers <hint: time based attitude restraints for bomb drop> :devil.

Then all you got to worry about is the newbee guy ranked numero uno steering your cv to in too close to a point that a panzer or tiger can hit it. :D :D

Was that landing a C-47 and dropping supplies or parachuting them onto the deck (or both)?
It sounds like you can't really resupply a CV.

And while I'm here, I'll vote on the frustration of having someone fly a formation of buffs at the CV, drop their load and just bail if they miss. Unrealistic and annoying.

I actually prefer ord be left up for CV battles.  I really like it when bombers attack the CV, so I can attack the bombers.  Why limit the options for everyone to have fun?

And I prefer the VH be left up as well, so they can launch GV's to defend against the vulch.  Same goes for ack...

Just my opinion...
