"Ordered" to switch sides
« on: September 13, 2008, 05:08:28 AM »
Been playing about 6 months here and play for Bishops, and was on blue about 11 hours ago ( 2am uk time) where Bish had large numbers (orange was full). I was at TT fighting Rooks and there we were out numbered at the time, losing bases.

Anyway I get a pm from a someone saying they are a mod (after I asked, I have no idea who the mods are), I didnt see his original texts as I was in a tank dodging bombs and gvs, but got the gist that he was telling me to switch to Knights and its was, quote "AN ORDER".

I didnt immediately respond as I was busy, I was then told I was going to be reported to HTC for not complying with said "ORDER".

After I few pms each way I eventually understood what he was on about, but decided it was bed time anyway so logged. I know Bish had vastly superior numbers, but not on TT at the time where 3 of us were defending V bases against about 8 Rooks in planes and GVs

As I am fairly new

1) can mods ORDER you to change sides and is it reportable if you dont?

2) Who are the mods anyway, is there a list anywhere.

Thanks

You will be never asked to change countries by anyone. This guy is full of crap. Do you remember the name by any chance?

1)  No they cannot.

2)  The mods are a rival group to the rockers that happened in the 60's?  I'm not sure,   your old enough to remember right Blimey?

Seriously It is no-one elses business but your own.  If you want to balance gameplay voluntarily I would recommend it.   You get to meet the other 2/3rd's of the community who are just as nice if so more than the Bish  ;).   One thing I've never understood is when the arena could be   10,30,60   and you get guys on the 60 team whining about ENY and then trying to destroy the 10 teams remaining fields  by blowing up hangars and swarming fields  that just isn't cool.  :)

This is true for a short while, once we have liberated territory from Rooks & Nits it takes a while to get the smell out.  :aok

it was probably some buttwipe tardlette from the higher sided country, and couldn't get the tank or aircraft he wanted, so he was trying to get you to switch.
technically, he was impersonating a moderator, and could be in deep cow doo doo.

did you have film running? if so, send it to htc. they'll handle mr tardlette for ya.

actually, you saying that.......

i had switched to bish one night to find fights. i was returning my damaged hellkitty to the nearest base which happened to be a cv. had a portion of the wing gone, fuel leak, losing oil, and pw. the cv was turning, but i started to try to line up anyway. next i know, i vet a vox message telling me it's clear to land and the cv was now traveling straight. whomever had control, actually straightened it out for me. THAT was pretty cool in my book.
