The new IL2 is a monster... just one look at one coming at you can make you wanna cry. Iv seen the 37s take out a t34/85 turret out in one pass, with ease. We are going to need good wirble gunners to get through this.

And on a second topic, i think the M4 might be a gonner, because it takes so long for the turret to raise and lower. I think the t34/85 will take its place.

I certainly hope so!  I was wondering if that was what they were referring to on the update info page about adjusting the M4 turret traverse.  Last night I fell asleep while moving my M4 turret from full up to full down.

The turret traverse of the early T-34/76 was *not* powered: the gunner/commander had to crank it around manually.  Gun elevation was also controlled via a hand-crank.

According to what I've read, the later, upgunned T-34/85 had an electric motor for the turret traverse.  (Was this standard?  I can't find any real numbers.)  Did the elevation mechanism also get an electric motor?

Course turret traverse by the tank commander:

You reach down on each side ..pull the spring loaded pins UP, turn the turret to where you want it, drop the pins into place ..and crank the gear for fine aiming. It's why the T-34 rocked the tigers badly in Kursk ..and that system was still in use in the T-55's of the 1950's.

Ask me how I know.
The turret swings on the turret ring very easily once unlocked
..I had no trouble at all putting it right where I wanted it.

set up your gv runs just like we set up our bomber runs.

take whatever tank into a base you want.....many of them. be sure to have m16's, wirbles, and flakpanzers as escorts. they protect you from the air cons, you kill the thngs you need to kill.

 it only requires a bit of planning now, that's all. more of a challenge, and still fun fights.

set up your gv runs just like we set up our bomber runs.

take whatever tank into a base you want.....many of them. be sure to have m16's, wirbles, and flakpanzers as escorts. they protect you from the air cons, you kill the thngs you need to kill.

 it only requires a bit of planning now, that's all. more of a challenge, and still fun fights.

     It's not the base attacks I'm concerned about..it's griefers ruining GV battles for the easy kills.
