The prime minister already said changes to gun ownership laws will be made.

The guy posted a threat video on internet on friday, he was called for police questioning yesterday for it but they decided not to confiscate his guns after the review. How wrong they were.

So sorry to see this happening. The easiest thing a politician will do it to blame the tool rather than the person and it seems that they are already on the job.

You can't take a threat as anything but serious in a situation like this. I'd bet that the policy regarding threats is changed now but that's too late for the victims.  :(

Please people don't speculate about what the police should or should not have done until a complete investigation is made. It is bad taste and easy with 20/20 hindsight. Finnish National Police Commissioner Mikko Paatero has given an initial statement that in the videos he was questioned for he didn't directly threaten anyone. That's where IMHO the speculation should end until complete investigation is made.

A senseless tragedy.

Russians, Ripley... Russians.

You, of all Europeans should know that disarming the public is not a wise choice. Criminals will always get guns.. outlaw them and honest citizens become prey. Disarm your countrymen and the nation will be prey.
