As far as I see the He-111 (and yes, I want it)
« on: October 04, 2008, 04:45:57 PM »
Well, we all want the He-111, but rarely are we gonna use it. When they previewed the P-39, and before that, we were all flippin out and actin all happy and saying it's gonna own in MA and stuff.... Then it comes a long, and 60% of the community cries "WASTE!!11!!" And as much as I want the He-111, I think thats what is gonna happen. :( :cry

So if you wish for it, dont start crying when it doesn't do what you want it to do.  :salute :salute :salute :salute

I'm not interested in it for MA use. Anything other than American and British 4 engine bombers won't be used anyway. However, if it weren't for FSO and Special Events I would have quit this game long ago. MA gets old pretty quick. And the He-111 will add loads to early war scenarios (which, are the most fun :) )

Yes, you and many others stated that about the 39 (and you still do, as do I) but so many cry waste. I'm just thinking what will some of these people will do when we do get it? Cry waste?

And those who cry waste wouldn't have likely stepped out of their Spitfire or La7 no matter what was added.

He-111 will be a hanger queen in the MA's, but good for scenarios.
I am glad the '25 got added first, see's a LOT more use than the 39 does.

Yes, but everyone was like "Vote for the 39! Ditch the 25!"
'25 won, everyone cried.
When the '39 was added, it was flown for a couple days, never see one anymore.

Speaking of rarely seen aircrafts... I have never seen a Stuka or B-26 in a long long time. As for the He-111, I'm pretty sure some hardcore German fans will fly it along side with the Ju-88. Bring the 111 and soon you'll see Stukas and Junkers 88 along side with it, next thing you know, German bomber raids. It's not just the aircraft that's new, but it's also going to create a new environment. The thing that's bugging me is what variant of the Heinkel are they going to release?

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

titanic, B26's are used often for CV killing runs. Stuka's...not so much. They are slow, underpowered, and vulnerable. Sure, they pack a 4K bomb, but you're likely to get shot down on the way there.

I tend to use Stuka's in it's originally planned role, GV killing. It's a lot of fun trying, and its harder because you only have a couple bombs.

Stuka, can put a hurt'n on a CV.  It just takes patience(witch is why you don't see it as often).  First you have to climb to 15-17K.  Then your dive angle has to be right, 70 degrees.  Aim 1 boat length in front.  Release at 10k, and pull out.  BOOM! right down the smokestack.  Only trouble is, it takes 2 of them to sink it. :frown:

If you set it up right and don't want to return home take the 2 250Kg bombs too.  You can also get the CA too. :aok

Also the above can work for a single Ju-88 carrying max ordinance.  The Ju-88 has dive brakes too, and can take out a CV with one go.

:cry  It is a good thing tho.  More hard fought battles to sink the hardened CV is a good thing.
