Woohoo you got it.

The L-3 series were adapted from Aeronca's pre-war Tandem Trainer and Chief models. The L-3 was initially designated the O-58 at the time it was first ordered by the Air Corps. It was also known as the "Grasshopper" which would have been the first hint.

The Champ was first flown in 1945
The Super Chief in 1945
The Chief in 1938
The L-3/O-58 in 1941

The Chief would have been closer because it was adapted from the Chief and Tandem Trainer models.

Lol, yeah, they look all so similar that I got confused in the end! :)

Ok, new one!

They are pictures of a model, not the real plane (they were all traceable via Tineye :D), so I added 3 to balance things, editing off the name on the fuselage.

Good hunting!

I don't think the logo will help you. What Charge said will... pratically every picture of the actual plane, on the Internet, has the craft with camo and Nazi markings.

Let's add that it survived Nazi invasion....

Its seems to be a real pain to find pictures of that aircraft so here you have it:

Frenchman Roland Payen's Pa22/2 "Flechair"

There's a nice article of him and his designs in Air Enthusiast 1997 No.68.

Ps. Note: 180hp engine and maximum speed 275kts (510km/h)

You can find a short story of the plane in the modelers forum from which I took the pictures:

Nice job Charge, it looks like your aeronautical knowledge is really vast. Your turn to post!
