What reasons you still play?
« on: October 06, 2008, 10:26:15 AM »
After few months off I came back mainly because I enjoy the competition and fun. Although I been in aces high since 2003 or so I still get the feeling
I am new to the game, every day I switch what im doing from dogfighting to Gv'ing and always learn more every time I play.
I do get burnt out like anyone else, after having my daughter my interest in the game dwindled until I figured the game was same every day: horde, pick, ho and ram. What I enjoy most about aces high and reason I won't leave is sense of pride I get flying around - kind of like day dreaming and wondering what it felt to fly a Me-109 back in the days or P-51. For few hours im off from work, it sure is an excitement to me still.

Well, I guess that Its my flyin buddies that keep me online..
But many of the guys I fly with have moved on to other things..
So the level of enjoyment has been dropping severely as of late..

It's not really the game that brings me back anymore, MA's are gettin pretty stale...
Too much of the same thing over and over...

Seriously doubt if a new plane of tank will change anything...
Woweee, I have a new plane, (or tank)... But I'm still doing the
same old operations... Hmmmm?

Need a new fix... the addiction is wearing off...

TV is crap.  Adverts treat you like imbeciles.  News is a list of the dead and I don't have enough money to get off me trolley down the pub every night.  Oh, and winning the occasional fight.

I have played every type of game, you name it and I probably have dabbled in it.  Nothing has ever grabbed my attention or my day dreams like Aces High has.  It would take an absolutley astounding game to take me away from this addiction that we all love. :aok

repost! :)

I play because my wife bought me this cool japanese wwii pilot outfit. Soooo before i log on, i put on my "uniform" grab my japanese flag in one hand a glass of saki in the other. I then start screaming all the japanese i know, very loudly in quite the menacing tone. At this point the kids start getting scared, which in my mind means im "ready".  I then start my flight, most the time i just get hoed by some niki, in a very
nasty manner i might add, resulting in me throwing the cat across the room, really hard. So take note: when you ho, a cat may die.

so, i just fly for fun and because i hate that cat.

It still fun. I back off from the game though. Before I used to go 250 hours a month on it. That was where I learn all the manuever etc and I practicing them so I spent a lot of time in the game. Now that I kinda get it down and what not and all the crying, it just only fun to log in once in a while to keep the game fresh =). Beside RL flying is way more fun!
