A gift from the AH Gods?

This is a first for me...  Tonight I was actually having a good time killing (and dying ) in the trusty old P-40 while on base defence.  I killed a Spixteen and then singled out a Pony that got low and slow.  I chased this guy all over the treetops thinking this is too easy as I drew him into the pipper.....only to see tracers over my shoulder.  I knew better but didn't care, I didn't even look back.  This Pony was NOT going home.  I ended up killing it and got the #2 kill in the buffer just as my wing was sawwed off from behind .

I spun in from treetop level and died a horrible death as expected.  It was worth it.  Funny thing is I looked at my text buffer and it said "Hooker47 landed 2 victories in a P-40E"

WTF?  I've never seen or heard of this before.  I've heard of insane number mutipliers (like 200 victories) issued in error, but never a "landed" from a horrible death spiral into trees and dirt.  I was waaaaay off of my field as well.

Anyone else seen this before?

Yep, a few times. I killed a guy and as soon as he blew up he landed 4 kills  I'd like to get that lucky just once

Though the AHII Gods would much prefer to shove the proverbial stinging nettle down the proverbial trousers of hapless AHers, occasionally, having imbibed way too much of the nectar of the Gods, they will smile drunkenly upon you.

Of course, come the morning, the AHII Gods have a cotton-tongue and throbbing headache, which means they will just be twice as wrathful!

I expect such harsh treatment from the Gods each morning.  Of course I often rise with cotton-tongue and a throbbing headache myself.

Never EVER see a P-40 as an easy kill! They may not be the fastest, not the fastest climbers, not the best turners, but overall it is a great plane! In the hands of a trained pilot, a P-40 can take on ANY other plane! 

I especially love it when 6-7 enemy planes leave the guy they're shooting at (or being shot at by) just to dive in on my P-40. They always ignore the tracers flying past them, hitting them, and PW them just to be the one to say "Hey guys! I killed a P-40 with a La-7!"  However, its never that simple (with an experienced pilot in the cockpit of the P-40), and soon it'll be those 6-7 pilots RUNNING from a lone P-40. I've seen it happen. 



I've never been lucky enough to get 200 proxy kills off 1 guy OR land kills when I die.  Though I did get 9 proxies off 1 guy once, and I was so frustrated I didn't get more.

That bug happens when you bail out and hit the ground at the same time. I've also had it happen to me when I was bailing out while my plane was getting hit.
