Are inverted or not!! inverted is almost impossible to recover from,maybe if you have lots of alt... maybe!! The rightside up spin is difficult aswell, try to get nose down,drop flaps,gear, the bottle of gin,whatever you can to change CoG.Some find shutting engine down helps,myself I feather prop and cut throtle.The trick is to gain airspeed,to allow control surfaces to work,thus getting nose down is imperative.
