Waypoint touches land
« on: November 03, 2008, 07:20:59 AM »
I've encountered CV groups so close to base you can sometimes tag the ships with a Tiger. My attemps to get a CV in that close results in "waypoint touches land", even though my waypoints stay clear of obvious land points on the map. What's the trick?

A bunch of us sank a CV last week or the week before with GV cannons but I don't know the answer to your question.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Wax on, wax off, err I mean, you litteraly play the pixel lottery when trying to get a CV close to land.  Just inch the waypoints bit by bit away from the coast until the error message goes away.  Think of it like playing battleship, you know its somewhere in that general area, but the exact coords for the perfect points are a hit or miss.
