It shouldn't but it does eem to be able to take a little more than it should. I have had rounds from a Tiger bounce right off a firefly. That should not happen.

Oh, I agree that there is something wonky about the GV damage model.  I've had bombs bounce of my panzer before and explode harmlessly, something I doubt would have happened to a panzer in real life.  However, I do think the guns are modeled rather accurately and the 17 pound gun did have enough velocity to be able to take out a Tiger with a single shot, provided it was at the proper range to make it possible.

Are you sure about that bomb bounce?  I spent a good chunk of time last night cursing about a golden 500lber that landed 80 yards away from my panzer and got me.  Must of been a really small bomb, or maybe a rocket or 75mm from a B25H?

500 pounder dropped from a P-38L flown by a squaddie.  The bomb hit the rear compartment and then appeared to bounce up and explode above my tank.  I did lose the pintel gun but that may have been from the strafing my squaddie was doing as he was dropping the bomb.

Someone else posted a screenshot not to long ago showing almost the same exact thing but the bomb hit the cupola and bounced off.

The top of any tanks in WW2 were very weak a 500lb bomb would just go right threw it i believe.

I don't know if many of you knows this, but we don't have a serious american tank. The closest thing we have is the M8.

Now for those of you saying "wow this guy is stupid, we have the sherman" well the sherman that we have is called the M4A4. This is the M4 that had a british 17 pounder for a main gun. This was not used much by americans, this was mainly used by Britain, France, and China.

Now i did some reserch and found that the M4A3 was the perefered tank of the americans.

Here is the picture:

And this is the sherman that we have:

I may just be splitting hairs, but this tank I feel would be a good match against the Panzers. And it wouldn't be perked  :aok

well ok if u want it to be as effective as a flakpanzer against real armour :aok
