That is an easy one...

We don't have an ACM Discussion Forum because furballing is counter-productive to winning the war. If you can't mob a base with 5X as many guys as you need to take it and STILL find the need to drop ALL the hangers at the field, you obviously should of gone in NOE. If you still cannot take the base, it is obvious that spies told them you were coming.

If all else fails, come on the forums and call everyone that disagrees with you a liar.

(ACM Discussion Forum would be a great idea, too many think ACM is 'One pass, haul ass')

I don't know guys, the old ACM pendulem could be swinging the right way again, got into some good fights last night with none of the ho-run-ho-run stuff, only time I saw that was where I knew I was gonna see it, 600ft alt with a spit coming right at me.

ACM is nothing more then a fancy name.  What you need to talk about is tactics.  ACM is NOT tactics.

ACM is doing a good rolling scissors.  Tactics is knowing WHEN to perform said rolling scissors.

Knowing *how* to perform a maneuver isn't nearly as important as knowing *when* to perform a maneuver- no matter how poorly or perfectly it's executed.  A poorly executed immelman performed at a perfectly timed moment is twice as deadly as the inverse.

Fancy name for fancy wins...

ACM is doing a good rolling scissors.

That's BFM.

Tactics is knowing WHEN to perform said rolling scissors.

That's timing.

Knowing *how* to perform a maneuver isn't nearly as important as knowing *when* to perform a maneuver- no matter how poorly or perfectly it's executed.

For top performance, both, execution and timing are equally important, both part of ACM.

Why do we not have an ACM Discussion Forum ? HTC?

Now that's a good idea.  :aok

But I'm sure the Help and Training forum cover most ACM related questions.

I agree that a ACM subsection or forum would be a good idea, but before we can convince HTC that we should get one, why don't we use the Help and Training forum for that idea first to show that we actually need one more then just the random ACM or film post, as in enough to warrant its own forum.

I think ACM fits rather nicely in the Help and Training Section.  Problem is that discussions of anything very rarely stay on point and almost always degenerate into senseless arguments and or mindless streams of "smiley face" posts.

I think the biggest problem is that there are few absolutes in ACM. Everything is situational and there are a lot of subtle exploitable nuances. As Bighorn said its all timing and execution. So you run into a situation where the application of knowledge is dependent on not only the accuracy of your initial read but also the reaction of your adversary. It's amazing how well your ACM "mojo" works until you run into someone like Bighorn. All to often I think people are looking for absolute certainty in an uncertain world.
