Even if you were a shade, why should anybody even care?
I'm not saying he's a shade or not, although I suspect he is, but if he were that would make him a liar. Most reasonable people don't condone lying beyond the little white lies that might save someone from hurt feelings, etc.
While this case might not be to the extreem of someone who claims to be a doctor but isn't (how would you feel about visiting that doctor?) it is a detriment to the community nonetheless as he would be dupping the entire community into believing that he's something he's not.
If he can't be trusted to tell the truth, what else might he not be trusted with?
On a larger scale, what's the difference between this and killing shade accounts? Neither "hurt" anyone. I guess we should get rid of community standards altogether then.
