I would like to see jay z or lil wayne tell me about the pentatonic scale or the hexatonic scale....oh wait they can't because they have no knowledge of music or the structure of music

Who do you think had the most nominations this year for the Grammy Awards. Drum roll please...........Lil Wayne (A Rapper) led the way with 8 nominations. Grammy awards are voted on by industry experts. They obviously think rap is music. Just because you don't like it or what you perceive as its message doesn't make it a less valid form of art or music.

as for the grammys, they don't mean much to me, the only thing anyone hears about is the best pop and rap albums, which is a shame, but it's like i said, people these days are just kind of dumb and prefer catchy music with no substance over good music that will stand the test of time. (no offense twentyfo if you like rap)
We do live in a free country so everyone should listen to what they like, its just my opinion that rap stinks and is the lowest form of muisc, if it can be called music.
It's like i said before, it will not last and think about this (again) what are you going to sing and teach your kids when they're young?
