On occasion, I've found my self having to crab in order to line up on the runway and land.

To my understanding, wind is enabled in the main arena.

Can we get a windsock on the field(and CVs), to let us know which runway to use.

I would also think... the windsock should be visible from the tower.

Thanks,

That's what you were asking about in the arena the other day. I thought it had somthing to do with winsock.dll, hence my confusion when you asked me what I thought about it. And I agree some form of wind dirction indication is needed. Just don't know when we will be able to get to it.

HT how about the little peice of material attached to the canopy like you get on Gliders?

windsocks would be a nice addition

Or you could just create a burn barrel at one end that constantly emits a smoke trail like Panzer smoke shells. The only problem with this is that Panzer smoke shells only stream smoke in one direction. If you change wind directions the smoke stays flowing in the old wind direction. Probably a bug, I don't know. Still, this would be the easiest way to stick a windsock in the game.

Agreed flakbait.  I once suggested long ago the creation of a perpetually burning field ack on top of each field's tower.

That thin stream of smoke would be sufficient to give you an idea of current wind direction and strength.
