I still recommend joining a squad with a sturdy foundation. You can learn alot from squadies, and it's fun logging on, and having some squaddies to talk to/fly with. The problem with starting a squad when you're new is nobody knows your name, or your rep so people aren't willing to follow. Also, there's nobody to serve as a mentor to you, or any squadies that may join your squad. So really you're cheating you and any potential squadies out of what I really enjoy most...squad affiliation with a group of guys you enjoy being around and whom you can trust to fly with.
