Hopefully my 16th headset,....I lernt last week, even when ya trip over the wire  on a really good set, they can easly be broken also. Actually torn in 1/2, but fear not. w/ my field expedience, they are taped to my head.

I have almost stopped at the local circuit city (which is closing... and I love to shop a closing store) on more than several occassions.  The few times I did go in, I got stuff for the sons, and skipped the headset for myself.  The closer it gets to christmas, though, the more I wish I'd just gotten it for myself & not wait for Santa.. since I'll probaby end up going & buying it for myself after I don't get it for Christmas... at which time I'll be battling the after-christmas crowds (which I hate).

'Beaufighters over the Pacific"  A history of the Beaufighter as used by the RAAF in the PTO.  Hard to find, and my present to myself for Christmas.  Does that count for AH?

Yeah, I'm unemployed as well. Fortunately, I have kept my bills quite low and live in a very modest home. Frankly, I'm making it quite well so far. So I have no gripes. Thank goodness I followed Dave Ramsey's advice.

I have to say I feel for the people who are having a hard time this year.I am usualy not far from a hard time all year long myself but I try to make the most of it.Like Smokey I have a fairley modest living.As cool as getting "stuff" is there is more to the holiday than that.I try to keep that in mind.
