Piepers blunder, and apologie.
« on: December 27, 2008, 06:09:55 PM »
<S> fellow AHII players.......

I'll make this short and sweet, on Christmas night I was playing very late and drinking a little. Somehow a descussion came up on channel 200, that I rarely monitor, and I found myself in a heated argument with another player. This was a political argument that I have been warned before not to engage in, but somehow I found myself in the middle of it. I would just like to apologize for the comments I made and the abreviated insults in those comments. The other individual should know who he is. Also to the moderator who muted me for two hours......I probably deserve worse, but with this appology I hope to spare myself from further consequinces. I realize that some discussions are inappropriate in the game, and I will stay out of them in the future. The Biggest apology I owe is to the rest of the community, I'm sorry you had to see me rant about something inconsequential to the game.

Alot has changed in my life and in this world over the last four years Karaya. Although I have been effected greatly by these changes, It's slill no excuse for my behavior, or anybody elses, in a game. We're here to have fun, and I don't want to take that away from anyone anymore.

it's good to see someone owning up like this.

don't stop monitoring 200 though. it can serve a useful purpose. you can help others, or get help through it. it's about the only reason i keep it opened when i'm flying.

I wasn't saying "you" as in Pieper should.  Was making a generalization that people who discuss politics in game should be punished.  Ig they ban it from one place, ban it from the other as well.

It's ashamed it has to come to this. If only the parties involved would stop to think for one second before spewing a load of politically or etnic foolishness on to the public transmit channel. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion but when it is conveyed at the expense of other players in the game who may be under age and hear or read the insults. There are many diferent types of players in the game, Jewish, arabic, euoropean, gay, afro-american, spanish, etc. Who is to say who is right or who's views are correct? We each have an inherant right to express and discuss in a mature and respectful manner what ever it is we want to get off of our chest. Yes we each pay our monthly fee and should be allowed to discuss topics of our choosing but as an adult not a 14 year old pre-pubecent middle schooler hell bent on insulting and degrading one another. I watched someone who I will not name disband his entire squad on election night and switch countries just over a heated discuision on country channel. It's definetly a touchy red-flag of a topic here in the HTC community. Piep don't sweat it you are not the first to be devoured by that BEAST!  :salute   Hell bro we are all grown men here and it's a "FREE" country so we should be able to say what we like, just have to keep 3 words in mind.. use some tact ! Take care :salute
