Carrier Reloading Tweak
« on: January 03, 2009, 11:03:30 AM »
Minor point - but if landing on a carrier, and the plane is damaged, then it shouldn't reload.
Seem silly to sit there on a flight deck with no wings and no under cart, and be told that my weapons are re-loaded.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

If your wings and undercarriage are gone, why are you still sitting on the deck waiting to be reloaded?

Haha, had something like that happen to me in the DA except it wasn't on the carrier. I was going in for a landing just messing around and I hit the edge at a 6K airbase. Well my plane lost it's wings, gear, and vertical stabilizer and was laying upside down and stopped sliding and came to a rest on the rearm pad. Next thing I see is the message, Weapons reload complete in 30 seconds. I got a big kick out of that considering I was upside down and couldn't move my plane at all.

Look.... You have to remember this.  It is so darn important, and goes across all three of our countries......

Our rearm teams at bases are always willing to try.  Regardless of what the craft may look like.  No matter how badly damaged it might be.  Nobody wants a reoccurrence of what happened that winter morning in December of that crazy year.

I think it all stems from an incident back in Tour 71 when Lusche yelled at the rearm crew to refuel his leaking, half winged 152 because he had to go finish the job he started!!!

Now keep in mind these were the younger, faster days of Lusche..........  Now that he's a little slower, he'd probably just get a new plane......... :D

I was showing a mate AH, and after landing a damaged plane (badly, I'll admit) then I stopped to talk to him, then he laughed at the fact that the 'navy' had re-loaded my plane-wreck. It was just a little illogical is all, and I hope easy to fix.
