Tradewars (from the dialup BBS days)

LORD ftw! Also played Solar Realms Elite and Usurper. There was another one that was a fantasy RPG with different quests, whose title I can't remember how it was spelled. It started with an "E" and the NPC character names were all taken from Hunchback of Notre Dame....
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Falcon 4.0 & F4AF especially (most realistic)
Flight Simulator (version X with UTX ASA WOAI PFE and the F1 Mustang - nothing better)
Aces High (because of Sick Puppies Breed and Prowlers)
Aces Over Europe
European Air War
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

The games I've enjoyed most, in no particular order:

-Ultima IV on C64
-Space Quest series
-X-Wing
-System Shock
-BattleZone (1st multiplayer experience)
-Starcraft (I still suck big time in multiplayer)
-Aliens vs Predators multiplayer (Last Man Standing games were my favorites)
-Half-Life
-Half-Life 2
-Warbirds 2.77
-AH
-Eve Online (enjoyed it a lot at 1st, then it became a chore but I still played it for 6 months because I had a "good" char. Now i'm avoiding the MMORPG like meth)
and last but not least
-LEFT 4 DEAD: game of the year 2008 for me, it doesn't get old. Most fun I've had in ages.

I remember Mech2. Kinda miss that one. The later ones weren't the same.
I'm surprised that one hasn't been mentioned more.

In chronological order...

i) Elite on the BBC - this is where it all started for me; a whole galaxy to explore, vector graphics, market trading and lazers!

ii) Doom - i know Wolfensein was first but this was just so polished; the source of fps.

iii) Carmageddon - no game has made me laugh and cackle so much. Just loved driving like a nutter then sitting back and watching the tv replay.

iv) Half Life (and it's successors). Raised the bar.

v) Grand Prix Legends (and it's spiritual successor GTR2 with the Power and Glory mod) - Aces High with 1950's cars... what more do you want? A very dedicated and truly gifted community, props to simbim for the modablilty and no legal hassles. Note P&G v2.0 out, it is stunning.

vi) Aces High - came here from one of the early fighter aces, world of difference. Can still recall the sense of "this is it!" Ever since zx81 flight sim (the one with no landscape just instuments and a landing strip) Aces High provided that which I had dreamed of.

vii) Deus Ex - RPG and FPS.. choices.

viii) Rome Total War - There used to be a show on telly where the contestants would fight historic battles as the commanders of an army against an AI. They were playing RTW about a year before it was released!!!  Combine Civ4 with tactical battleground control and it's got to be a winner.

ix) Team Fortress 2 - Something for everyone. The replayability of this shooter is astonishing. You never know what is going to happen next. Incredibly funny, challenging and charming. Aspects of AH when your team goes from absolute losers to holding their own to winning. I just find it exciting.

x) Fallout 3 - yes bug problems but still this is one of the greatest games I've played in a long time. Complete freedom of choice. And the gameworld.. it is almost awe inspiring the level of detail and crafting that has gone into it. Completely moddable, runs like a dream on old hardware - this is only the start, so much more to come from the modders.

I forgot to add Burnout 2 and 3 on Xbox. The takedown feature in #3 was awesome but the super-gay "Stryker" character was best left muted.

Forgot Goldeneye too.  :aok

Disruptor is a really cool shooter for PS1 as well. So was Dark Forces but the graphics were pretty pixelated.

not in any order

NHL94- an endless good time back in the day

tron- cheesy, but makes me remember the arcade days

GTA- pretty much all of em to satisfy my gangstaness ya heard

Madden- Have had many tournaments with my old room mates always a great time

Aces High- the most frustrating game I've ever played

Castle Wolfenstein-The first one on the comadore 64....I played it for hours. So I guess I loved it. Watching little cartoon Hitler walk around a table always made me laugh.

Age of Empires II- got addicted to that one...so fun to just cheat and make giant hordes of vikings and have them pillage and plunder for my entertainment. I used to love killing the town folk.

Ace Combat series- total arcade shoot em up, but darn fun.

COD4- pretty intense game.

Fallout3- I find that I have an evil side to me when I play that one.
