Known Warpers
« on: January 12, 2009, 11:40:10 AM »
I know theres been quite a bit written about warpers in this game but one in particular really needs to either address the issue or move on. I for one have first hand knowledge on how warping effects the guy who is doing the warping. For about 3-4 months each time I logged into the game I was warping bad. It drove me crazy and everybody else as well. I knew it had to be something  other than my computer's capability because I didn't warp up till then. It took a lot of time and effort to finally figure out why I was warping and on the verge of quiting the game I resolved the issue. I still warp a bit when I log on the game but it stops within the first 5 minutes. I try and avoid any contact until I know the warping has stopped, unfortunately sometimes I can't avoid contact.

However there is a guy in MW who has been warping for 1-2 years now. He is a very nice guy but his trouble is his internet connection which cannot (by his own addmission) be fixed unless he moves to another area. He has warped into me while on his six now multiple times always killing me. He has magically warped from 1500 out to within 400 and shot me, he has no trouble bombing and killing you while bombing but his bombers are all but impossible to hit. When he's in a tank he has no trouble hitting you while his tank is warping so bad you can't get a bead on him. I seen him on the roof of a VH and then 100 feet to the right then 200 feet to the left. In my opinion he has warped so long and he is so use to warping that he now has an advantage over the people who fight him. I think that if a guy knows he warps and cannot get it fixed in a reasonable time he should leave the game. I don't think it's fair to the rest of the community that he just continues to play. I am sure everybody who plays MW knows who I'm talking  about. The squad he plays in is a base taking squad and when he runs and m3 he is unhitable resulting in a base capture that shouldn't have been.

Oooh I would like to know who this is?

Is he rook bish or nit?

Cuz there are some other problem people Like 18Whisky who also is nice guy but the warping is absurd.

However 18Whisky can at least be played although it does take extra time to kill him resulting sometime in another problem.

I feel a warp should disco u end of story, but i don't know enough about what causes it?

Hi my name is bat and i've been binge warping on and off for the last 4-5 years. I don't warp all the time, I dont warp infront of my Squad if possible, but when i do it's uncontrolable and dreadfully painfull for those around me to see.  I thought I could handle it, I thought it wouldnt damage my score or friendships. Well it took a while but I'm ready to face my deamons. I'm an occasional binge warper and it is ruining my life. Thanks for starting this group. Do i pay at the end or when im cured?
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Write it off to online gaming. Nothing can be done. I know who you are talking about and I have had him warp right through me more than a few times. Laugh it off....

Great advice.  Trust me, he is having a difficult time lining up on his targets too.

I must say that an accomplished warper is the exception not the rule Sir.  I certainly understand the frustration though.

i know exactly who you're talkin about. wanna hear something funny/mean?

i was in a field gun defending a vbase, while he was in a fight..i forget who it was with......but the guy comes on 200, saying ""nice warp"". i was in one of those weird/funny moods. so i go on 200, and say....."i'm sittin here in the field ack, and clearly saw YOU warp almost 1k. it took a couple minutes, but i managed to convince him that it was indeed him. he tried re-logging. the said warper was almost mad at me for that.
i realy didn't think the other dude was gonna relog, but he did.

and, yes....the guy you're talking about is a cool guy. i enjoy flying with him.

I once had to make the choice of not flying, or fly with a horrible Sat. connection with 1500ms pings.

I chose to fly.

Bat, The first step is admitting you are powerless over warping and it has made your life unmanageable.

I think i know who you are talking about.  It is .........  When he warps, i think it maybe something eals going on.  he may be running out of memory space.  that happen to me a while back when i had only %12 memory space left over.  i was warpping everywhere, so i just dump my whole C drive.  It did the trick.
