Air Temperature
« on: January 15, 2009, 04:05:42 AM »
I remember reading a thread a long time ago where someone figured it out, can't seem to find it now though.  Does anyone remember what the air temp is in AH?

So I can't even escape from this cold streak in Aces High!
Below 0 here at the moment...yikes!

I assume it conforms to the standard atmosphere model.

A chart here

The environmental lapse rate is 1.98 degrees Celsius per 1000 feet or 3.56 degrees Fahrenheit per 1000 feet. Thats for stationary parcels.

Rising parcels of air (saturated and unsaturated) have different lapse rates due to expansion of the parcel and other factors but in Aces High the environmental lapse rate is applicable.
