Tank Gunsights?

Not sure if its a bug. But it sure annoys me. I get my sights where I want them Press F10 then Log out. When I log back in and grab myself a Tank the sights are reset to default zoom which is barely any zoom. If this is normal let me know, but I know that in my planes they stay the same. Maybe its a different button to save it?

F10 has no effect on zoom, just the head position.

Then how do you save the zoom?

I use the time it takes the tank to get running to set my gunsights.  Usually is enough time...and there is no save for zoom that I know of.

ok this is how it works,
go to gun sight (2),
press up arrow key till it no longer moves forward then press f-10,
 then use zoom ,
once you have set up arrow and pressed f-10,
 that position is saved,
but you still must use zoom keys (  [ ]  ) every time you log in,
 this only saves you forward in the gun tube position

damn so I guess i'll have to get used to aiming everything I have it set different so my shots are different. Well Thanks that help kind of just wish there was a way to save gun sight zoom.

I know this is a rather old thread, but I'm on the lurk. As you get better at it, it's actually rather easy to set the same zoom for yourself. Use some sort of visual indicator (I use how much of the edges of the screen are black) to tell when you've got the zoom setting you like. As you learn to range with the scale at that zoom, you'll get to the point where it feels unnatural when the zoom's off by a bit.
