Apparently to a few of us, it isn't a non-issue.
forecast for tonight is alcohol, low standards and poor decisions

If the Cardinals defense made any kind of showing on the final drive then the other side would be whining about officiating and the like.

Steelers fans whine about everything. Almost as bad as the Eagles and the Cowboys.

I would say both teams played pretty evenly. The difference was the Cardinals we're out coached offensively and defensively.

The better team doesn't always win. Take a look last year. The Pats were clearly the better team, but the Giants were the better team THAT DAY.

Last year's Pats were not as good as the media hyped them to be.  Getting to play six of their games against last years Jets, Bills and Dolphins helped out, along with a few lucky wins against the Ravens and Giants at the end of the season.  Throw that team into the AFC South and they're lucky to be 12-4.  The Giants truly were the better team IMO.

The Steelers posted an outstanding season performance with the toughest schedule in the league, and ended up 12-4. That in itself should gain the respect of any true fan of the game, no matter what team you support. It was a great game last night and both the Cardinals and Steelers are to be congratulated.

But if small number of Card fans are going to take the old Seahawk line of 'the refs won them the game' don't expect any Steeler fan to nod their head in agreement after having to listen to that from Seahawk fans.

:P

Steelers get a BS holding call giving the Cards a safety which keeps the Cards in the game and they still have people accusing them of paying off the refs.  That holding call was very subjective, if anyone was paying off the refs it was the Cards...

uhm, did you WATCH the game, with your EYES open? Im not a fan of either team, Im a Cowboys fan, who botched their chance, but I did see ALOT of fishy calls against the Cards. Yes, the Cards sucked in the 1st half, and actually started playing in the 2nd, and I'll be the first to admin, the steelers played VERY well- very consistantly, but the one thing that gets me, above it all, is this:

I think it was the 3rd quarter, the cards get a personal foul called, so the refs give the ball and 1st down to steelers. In the 4th, the steelers get the personal foul- which if you watch, was #92 hitting that one dude in the ribs, shoving him down, then as we went to get up, knocking him over, and they only take 15 yards? What about the turner over like the cards suffered? No standards across the board?

And the whole roughing the holder--- thats an iffy one for me, if it was fake, and it could have been, it was a very very good one.  But my original example really got me thinking about the refs, let alone some of the other calls.

Again, I am not a Cards or Steelers fan...  :salute
