P-47 Paint Scheme Idea

I could be wrong, but the Macchi C.205 seems to have helped AH in the Italian market.  I'm sure some Finns were glad to see the Me 109G-2 markings.  And I know some Poles who are very happy with the Spitfire Mk. IX markings.

How about this one to capture the Brazilian market:

I don't know.  I was given links to more Brazilian aircraft photos and will try to learn more.

Funked is right. HTC should use aircraft and markings as  marketing instruments. It works.

"And one of the finest aircraft I ever flew was the Macchi C.205. Oh, beautiful. And here you had the perfect combination of italian styling and german engineering .... it really was a delight to fly ... and we did tests on it and were most impressed." - Captain Eric Brown

The Jug in the picture was a D-25 and flown by Lieutenant Luis Felipe Perdigao in 77 missions over Italy. the D3 was also my first designation in Jambock Squadron in Warbirds
At the time of WB 1.11 the P47 was the "official" plane of the brazilian pilots and we even sent a number of e-mails to ICI asking for a P47D with brazilian painting and markings. Maybe our time is coming...

Pongo, I apologize...

Canada shall get an appropriately marked Harvard.

Seriously, how about the Spitfire Mk. XIV?
You are correct in any case, there is a large percentage of Canadians in this game, and an RCAF plane would rock.

Ditto for RAAF and RNZAF.

A French plane would be great too, either something from 1940, a Free French RAF bird, or even a Normandie-Niemen Yak-3.

Ya there is lots to go around.
The P40 and the Hurricane will creat lots of opertunities to get other counties colours in.
The harvard is a cool choice. We used alot of them training the free worlds pilots. And it was made in canada. But you gota throw in its stable mate.
The Canadair Sabre MkVI.
Fair is fair...

Naa let's go with the Avro Arrow.

Another good one for a bunch of countries is the A-20.

And I've always wanted to fly a well-modeled P-63.  With water injection that thing was a badass.

Dune came through with a nice find:  http://www.mat.ufrgs.br/~rudnei/FAB/eng/guerra.html

Quote
The war cry "Senta a Pua!" was a suggestion from Ten.-Av. Rui who had heard it several times from Cap.-Av. Firmino Alves de Araujo while serving at Salvador Air Base; it was used by the latter on his subordinates, inviting them to do their tasks at once and quickly. It became the Brazilian equivalent of the British Tally-Ho and the French "A la Chasse!".

Funked, noble sentiment, but let's face facts, the U.S. market pays the bills so let's get that Jug in 56th FG livery.. Then again, beggars can't be choosers, any Jug will do.

I look at it this way - there are a whole lot more WB pilots in Brazilian squads than there are WB pilots in P-47 squads.

Make the D in Brazilian markings, do the M in 56th markings.

This matter is already making much noise at the brazilian forum of AH/WB pilots. Pyro's last message only adds heat to the matter  )
For me it's simple: Make a Brazilian Jug. The next day I ( and many friends, I believe) will be giving our hard-earned money to HTC)
