Yup... different feed. IIRC Krusty you are mistaken. Dean's list no change in cannon other than what I've mentioned.

Actually, after reading the internet I found that M10 was used in the P-63.  Different feed, belt fed, higher rate of fire, same poor velocity.

All 39's used the same 37mm m4 cannon.

":Edit: The 37 mm Automatic Gun, M4, known as the T9 during development, was a 37 mm autocannon designed by John Browning[1] and used in the Bell P-39 and P-63 fighters.."

Ever single 37mm m4 used the M54 standard round. Each round had a built in tracer/detonation device.
None could be made invisible, and all* of them blew up after 3 seconds.

only exception was the M80 standard Ap round.

If we had this round (M54) as it was in real life, our 37mm m4 rounds would be very different, we would see "mini puff ack" just as the shells reached max range. "Can you say mobile mini flak?"

IIRC most if not all HE cannon shells had auto detonation device.

Fact still is, the 37mm always had a tracer, and should thus never have the ability to be turned off.

Moving right along.  :salute :rock

I don't think you can turn it off on the 39Q in-game. Maybe it's just for the other guns.

So the bug, then, is that the tracer disappears on the 39D, when it should be always-on like in the Q model.

Or maybe the D has no tracer on that gun because it also mounts the 20mm there (which can be turned off)?

Not sure if it's an oversight or a limitation.
