VMF-251 Recruiting
« on: April 10, 2009, 11:22:28 AM »
VMF-251 is looking for Hog fans!

The Buccaneers were founded in 2006, and have been active participants in FSO since the Okinawa campaign in November, 2007. Our goal is to simulate the typical Marine Corps squadron in the Pacific Theater, and our main ride for official squadron operations is the F4U-1A Corsair. Other variants are used as needed, with the 1D being our primary strike craft. We also frequently fly the F4U-4 and PBJ-1H, but members are welcome to fly other aircraft as need or whimsy dictates unless our Hogs are specified

Recently, the squadron has begun focusing our attention on developing strong cooperative tactics at the Section, Flight and Squadron level. New recruits will be expected to participate in this training process before formal induction in the squadron. We all enjoy our lone wolf time, but when we fly together, we want to look like a SQUADRON, not a gaggle.

If you have a love of the Corsair and an interest in becoming part of a unit check us out and fill out a recruiting form today!

If you like Navy Blue this is the squad to check out!

Saxman and his squad have been active and contributing members to Friday Squad Operations for quite a while and FSO is better because of them.

VMF-251 is still on the lookout for Hog pilots. We're in the process of developing our own ground school, so we're open to all regardless of experience level!

I don't need any help hitting the ground. I've got that covered. :rofl Think I asked this before, but do you have a seperate FSO squad?  :salute VMF251

Crazy,

We do have one guy currently on the roster who only flies with us in FSO. You'd be welcome to check us out there and move to the Mains roster, too. :D
