.r (reply to pm)
« on: April 19, 2009, 12:32:04 PM »
.r is a neat way to reply to a pm. however if eg. a squaddie types on squad channel after the pm, the replies go to him, not the person you were pm'd by.

hold on

So if I'm PMing with someone, and then some one types something on the squad channel my replies go to him?  :O

Even better!! It goes to the person who typed last on squad channel and they say, "what?"

I appreciate knowing specifically how these PMs are going astray.  I've experienced this many times and had squadmates or non-squadmates on the same channel asking me why the heck I PMed them something.  I knew it was possible for the .r replies to go astray, but didn't realize exactly how it was happening.

Btw, I have seen .r replies go to the guy who last gave me a check 6 too (using they check six key, not vocally).

Happens to me a lot. I just .p the person back (I don't .r them) and say .p <name> wrong person, and hope they get the point that the PM glitched out and they need to repeat it.
