I'd like to preface my question by saying that this isn't a criticism of teh FSO or how it is operated. Not at all. In fact, FSO is probably the only thing that keeps me interested in AH2 right now.
I'm curious why, after an FSO event, there is a ranking for Objects Destroyed instead of some kind of Points Destroyed?
I noticed this after last Fridays event... You see, I was flying Bostons... I was assigned a Fighter Hangar as my primary target, which had a point value of 449 points... I released my ord and killed my target, as well as a field gun that got clipped collaterally. So, I was credited with the destruction of 2 Objects... Now, my question is, why should a pilot who gunned down three Field Guns be given a higher position in the rankings? Or even on the flip side, I happen to know of a squaddie who took down 2 Hangars... Why should my accomplishment be considered equal (as far as the pilot rankings go) to that of the guy who only hit two objects but happened to both be high value targets?
Is it simply a matter of not wanting to spend the time to calculate individual Pilot's scores?
Just curious.
Thanks for all of your efforts! I look forward to Friday night's event!
