My god would you please quit with the arena crap Hitech!

What sucks worse than 1 arena is having two arenas and being told you have to go to the crappy one with a giant map and 15 people on each country.  Meanwhile. the arena you can't get in has a large % of people just sitting in the tower afk so that when they do want to play they won't be locked out.

I call BS.

The arenas are exactly the same in every way with the exception of there name, and position in the menu. About 4 months ago we even exchanged the name (orange, and blue) and also position on menu, but guess what, people still went into the top 1.

If your supposition had any truth to it, the blue would some time be the fullest simply because of the map. And you would be happy we had 2 arenas because you would have your choice of maps.

Nope.  I'd rather kick some bellybutton in the emptier arena and only get into the other one after 15min or so of on and off attempts to get in, than being forced into the retarded cram-packed single arena because there's no alternative.

NEW small maps would be nice. The old/stale AH1 maps are ... well ... old and stale ... and EVERY map should have water that will support CVs. Personally, if I log into an arena and it doesn't have water ... I log out.

Similar in concept to the skins editor.  Users tinker with it.  Submit to Hitech Creations for approval.  The best (and workable) maps are used in the game. 

My personal preference is a map where the bases are close together for quick returns to the fight or quick base grabs (for those of us that get shot down more often.)

Pardon the shameless kiss up, but HTC is doing a good job pleasing as many of us as possible.  There are always going to be a few cranks, especially among the highly opinionated posters on this forum.

Of the 11 MA maps, 4 were made by HTC.
All of the SEA maps are player made as well.

This OP's argument isnt over 1 arena, its about caps.  When you have 1 of the two LW arena's capped, all you really have done is make it a 1 arena game again.

BTW I do like the two arenas, I just wish I could pick to go to the higher populated one. Many on the boards have said they prefer the lower populated ones anyways.   Here's one right off this page.

Were you there back then?  If you were one of the few that did have fun, it still doesn't make for a realistic business decision.  "Your" (just for the sake of the argument here) vision of fun was a vision that led to no game, which obviously equates to the least fun outcome of any alternative.

Misleading evidence - This one's elementary.  Your evidence that HT is wrong when he quotes (dunno how much more primary an evidence you could ask for) population history direct from the server files, is a single data point from all the population history data points, and of all things it's a data point as exceptional and therefore unrepresentative as e.g. quoting this wednesday's numbers as a sign that something's wrong with the servers in general.  Your supporting evidence is a screenshot from right after an arena reset.

The maker vs joe lambda - Read what you want into it.. My point is that you can't keep much credibility when you argue the above against someone who isn't just a player but whose job it is to make the game.. Who has 10+ years of experience at it.. Etc.

First of all I want two LW arenas.  I just don't want them to be capped.  Plain and simple.

HT's reply implied that I thought the two arenas were in some way different and thats why I called one "crappy".
I replied that I was referrring to it as crappy because it had only 40 players in it.

Also, Chappy's screenshot at the beggining of this post may have been made after an arena reset, but mine wasn't.  It was made in the middle of the day.  Log on at 11:30 to 12:30 and this is common.  The arena that is actually at a decent # gets reduced when the cap hits untill you have 2 arenas w/ 100 players. 

It happens every day.
