As said earlier when possible make the change from Frontpage to Dreamweaver and you will save yourself a few headaches. I started out using Frontpage and it was great for throwing things together in a hurry but to get a little more detail I had to use something more robust...hence the change to Dreamweaver. Now Dreamweaver is cool for everything.

I was looking at dreamwaver. At the time, i knew very little about web desgnis. But now i wish i can get Dream waver.

As mentioned, the first page needs to be index.html or index.htm.

Also, most hosts no longer support FrontPage extensions. You can do all the basic html stuff but, if you are using FrontPage specific functionality, it won't work unless the host is set up for it. I can't remember what was specifically FrontPage and what may have been built in java, etc, but if you made links or buttons with special effects for mouseover, those may be included and cause pages to not work properly.

Regards,

Hammer

I've found that most hosts do support frontpage extensions here in the US.

Is it not considered bad form to use spaces in file names or paths?  I thought that did "funky" things to most programs?

Also, Frontpage Express......how much different from the full blown FrontPage?  And is there a way to get Dreamweaver free?  Maybe  'lite" version?
