Stay away from that PSU the XION brand. Easy way to check out a company is to call and see
- 1. How easy the number is to find
- 2. How long for tech support to answer
- 3. What is the RMA process
- 4. What is the warranty period for the product
Then make a decision
Aside from the above points, what's your first hand experience with the reliability and performance of Xion PSU's? Don't get the wind up. I'm not posting in order to defend them.
I used one a couple of years ago for a non-critical media center build. I decided to give it a try not based on experience or reputation but based on price at the time and most especially the large exhaust fan that actively drew air from the interior of the case and exhausted it.
Since then everything has remained well within spec according to various diagnostics. But it's not installed in a gaming box and not heavily taxed. I never bent over backward to research it before or after the purchase. I'm just curious about your own or others' experience with the brand.
For more demanding stuff I've use PCP&C stuff for years, so no one needs to sell me on those.
