Just looking at it the car reminds me of Great White, use to be the name of a white C4 that destroyed everyone into street racing down here till the LSX engines came out.

spray some silicone spray onto a cloth and rub it all over the engine bay parts that are black, all the hoses..it will make the engine bay look alot nicer

I told him that, but he said If "I clean it up, most Corvette folks will think I'm covering up engine/oil Leaks". Kinda makes sense I guess.
