How far are you firing from - you need to get in to 400 or under. Also check the convergance on the guns, you may want to change it - try setting at 400 for wing mounted guns, longer for nose guns.

Also if you are firing 303s at bombers its tough to down them

The key is to set your convergence to whatever distance you usually like to shoot from...  Then shoot at that distance.  Personally, I rarely set convergence much farther then 300 any more.

B56,  I agree with what was said about convergence above, and about rifle caliber machine guns too.

I like to fly the Hurricane IIC because it has serious 20mm cannon fire power.  You can make snap shots on cons from oblique angles and get one-burst kills with the hurri2.  I like to set my convergence to 150 and aim for the cockpit.  Poof!~

I know this is uber late, but i believe u can change the bullets lethality in the clipboard offline...

Esc->options->enviornment->settings->change settings->plane_lethality  (or something like that)

change that to a nice good number so 1 ping'll take off a B-25 wing
