Was there an explanation for the outage?

Just wondering. 
Haven't been subscribed to many services that didn't post a reason behind a service outage in a news area or on the front page of their site. 

I did read on another thread that there were storms...again, I must say I've never subscribed to a service that didn't have redundancy on top of redundancy...

Were there larger issues at hand (Like the ISP got zapped?)

I can't imagine that Hitech doesn't have a serious backup system install. 

?????

I think the OP just wants an official news announcement when the servers go down.  Nothing unreasonable about that.
