This is really an in general question to HTC and those "in the know".
In the beta, there is an option for terrain bump mapping. Is there any thoughts to allowing user creatable aircraft (seacraft, and groundcraft) bump mapping? Even if the gradiations were limited to a 16 threshold greyscale to keep size down, I think it could work really well for putting details in skins that right now are being faked such as panel lines, metal deformations, rivets, etc.
Also, any thoughts on an Alpha channel for reflectivity in the same vein?
