U've done it again   :)  a good mission, but a wee bit too long from the time of
launch to making enemy contact, I even shot down a couple of enemy planes sight unseen !?       After a long flight as I see the red icons I was shot down by enemy flak ... well done!  <sigh>

Could u cut the flight time in 1/2 so that quicker air battles take place?  Thx   :salute

The bad turns in the TBM route after the drop-ord segment have been corrected.  :uhoh  The Avengers should turn for home now, rather than loiter over the target.

For HellFire, and the rest of us who like to get into the action fast, a new release of this mission is posted with warp segments.  The merges play out nearly the same, only closer to the target.  :aok

There's no way to hide flights intended to be flown only by the AI.  Otherwise I might hide the Zero Rear Defense flights, since it's a pretty boring route.  Actually, this mission was created for the perspective of the Fm2 flight with the rockets added:

My buddy Kevin wanted a Wildcat mission where he could attack ground targets after fighting his way through some Zeros.  The TBMs take out the town ack which would prolly kill him otherwise, and he can have at some buildings with his rockets and guns, presuming he can get past the Zeros.  Since Kevin is only ten, and doesn't fly online yet, the whole mission from start to finish is a bit of a challenge and a thrill for him.

Enjoy the update!~

A cheery Good Afternoon Stalwart ... Bravo on a mission well written .... the modifications are superb, the enemies ferocious, lots of fun & being shot down consistently, if not by flak then by enemy planes   :cry  I haven't had a chance to land my plane after a mission as yet.   :uhoh

Presently I seem 2b on a par with Kevin ( 10yr old)   :o   strafing & bombing the towns is fun, but the opposition is brutal, love the way u've enemy planes fly to-
gether in 2s (pilot & wingman)  :)   Congrats on a job well done ,

Stalwart, pls advise me as to HOW u managed to get the cockpit contrast so clearly done, ur cockpit panel is extremely easy to see & dials stand out, whereas mine are awful, panels are too dark & upon adjusting the gamma everything's too lite or dark.  Makes landing no fun as I can't see the dials too well.

Thanks for the acclamations on the mission, HellFire.  :D  You and me and Kevin, we're all doing about the same.  lol.  Kevin finally made it to the town to knock down a few buildings, but he only did it by climbing over the fights.  I've managed to land two missions in a FM2, but only by flying conservatively, and picking off easy targets.

You might turn down the ack in your settings, if you're having trouble getting past the vehicle base in route to the target.  I've never messed with any of the Arena Setup options, so everything is still set to whatever the defaults were at installation.

Regarding the cockpit contrast issue:   I'm really at a loss to answer your question.  I don't believe there's anything in the mission file that affects the games graphics, only the missions, routes, segments, and flights.

Thx for ur quick reply, what I meant re. the crisp & clear cockpits is NOT only for the offline missions, but the regular ingame settings.

Finally made a landing in F4F, but had to avoid some hairy dogfights, as for the flak, I like it just the way it is ..... makes it all the more exciting & realistic   :aok

Hi I'm new to the offline missions. I downloaded this Mission, saved it in my offmiss file, but can't seem to get it to load.

Was wondering if this is just from the update, or if i'm missing somthing?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks DeeACE :salute

Hello DeeACE  :)
Which version of Aces High do you have?  AH2131 or the new AH2144, if it's the
former (AH2131) then u are able to fly missions, hence enjoying the dogfights off-
line, however with the new AH2144, u can't fly any missions, as yet.
