The problem with weather, fog, rain, low visibility, and night, is you cannot find an enemy to fight.

No one to fight and what is the point?  You can do that off-line.

And yet when the SEA or AvA simulates weather with the settings now somehow fights happen. Again no one is asking for zero visibility.

Why is it that when ever weather is brought up people always say it would be unflyable? No where in the OP did I see him asking for white outs and hurricanes.

What people want is,

light rains
fog
cloud layers that aren't one inch thick
snow
wind
turbulence

not

blizzards
tornadoes
hurricanes
hail storms
armageddon

How about bears?  I mean, this is Western Europe.  Something that would randomly attack Jeep, M3, Wirble and Ostie Drivers.  And let's not settle for a regular teddybear, let's upgrade it to Grizzly Bear!

Quote From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grizzly_Bear

"The grizzly bear (Ursus arctos horribilis), also known as the silvertip bear, is a subspecies of brown bear (Ursus arctos) that lives in the uplands of western North America.

Grizzlies are normally solitary active animals, but in coastal areas the grizzly congregates alongside streams, lakes, rivers, and ponds during the salmon spawn. Every other year, females (sows) produce one to four young (commonly two) which are small and weigh only about 500 grams (one pound). A sow is protective of her offspring and will attack if she thinks she or her cubs are threatened."

Now, you know how scared motorized vehicles make Mama Bear.
You would get the notice "You have been eaten"
After it returns to its den, it's kills would be posted: Grizzly Bear got 5 meals

How do you like that?

Because when you say rain people think thunderstorms. When you say snow people think blizzards. When you say wind people think hurricanes. You have to tell them exactly what you want or they will think you mean those things. They are agreeing with me not because of what I said I want but because of what I said I don't want.

I don't think the .30 cals on the the Panzer and Tiger have enough stopping power. This would cause more M8s to be driven than Panzers.

Hell yes it'd be cool to have a line of thunderstorms or snowstorms move through.  Something you would have to avoid or use to your advantage.  I agree nothing too extreme, just another fold in the game to add to realism.

On the other hand, I don't know how easy this would be, I'm no designer.  Anyway, people complain about their frame rate enough, can you imagine the B*$ching if they did this!?

The way clouds are now would allow for more weather if HiTech modeled weather. at A1 it may be raining but A12 could be sunny, so the entire arena would not be "unflyable" I do not know how HiTech would model the visual effects while flying to be area specific. As it is Visibility is the same throughout the entire arena.

I agree, we should have weather. I think it would give the ground pounders a break two. It will be the ground version of a furball.

well, i could give hurricanes a go. i think it would be awesome to fly over one. then again, armageddon woud be cool too. have big gapping holes in the map for the gv'ers, and have god strike all the planes in the sky with lightning!!! How incredibly frustrating would that be!!!
