I posted in the hardware software forum sticky about this

you have in the sticky top of this forum is dead. I could not find the Optimizier patch anywhere on AMD's website or support pages

I made a suggestion in the hardware / software forum sticky-thread  regarding AMD dual cores

posting here, so AMD x2 users are aware of this........

Peachy.  So they have dropped it.

What is it with AMD?  First thing they did when the bought ATI was to remove all the older drivers from the site.

Well, I'll go about cleaning up all the documentation and players with multi-core AMD CPU's who have problems will just have to run use the compatibility mode hack.  Thanks for the heads up TC!

I can email you the 1.1.4 optimizier version patch file........and I asked to see if Ghastly, bernjen or anyone else has the older versions

1.1.2 and I think 1.1.1 or 1.1.0  if they could email them to me ( or you perhaps )

so HTC could host them for AH players use?

I need to find out why AMD pulled it.  There could be a reason for it.  At least we have a work-around available until we can find out.

I just found one version of the AMD dual core patch still up on the AMD server... I just don't know which version exactly yet:

if you dig enough or search external websites  ie.... guru3d.com   some external driver sites have updated their links.........

digging extrenously I was able to weed my way thru AMD's resource search pages and find it just now.......... I  logged in under my username/account at AMD.com forums to do so though......

they just do not have it linked on their support & driver pages anymore.....everything is blanked out and the download link is removed....

* Reports of Blue Screen crash when used with MS Hotfix from KB Article 896256.

* Going into “Gaming Mode” in Windows Vista will create a “cmd” window briefly.

I see no problem finding it... If you click 'Download processor drivers' It's number 8 on the list...

I got a question about the optimizer. I DLd it back when I got this comp. I never ran the 98 comp mode until I switched from the onboard graphics. No I have to run in 98 mode or I CTD, although until I CTD the games screams with no stutters. In 98 mode is only time I get the stutters. Whats this optimizer suppsoed to do exactly?
