Actually the G model with a bunch of drop tanks and air to air rockets slung under the wings is one of the most beautiful things ever to take flight IMO but I couldn't fight the pic I was looking for.

Anything with German, Italian or Russian lines really :D

I'm also a fan of the single-engined German fighters... particularly from the 109 series, the C series to the E-3- (C's here)

And from the 190 series the A series, particularly from the A-1 to A-6 (pre-MG131) (A-4 or earlier here? Nevermind the fake, incorrectly proportioned markings.... :( )

Of course, the Macchi C 202...

And the Yak series :D

Oh, and having seen (and especially, heard!) a flying Spitfire Mk 18 in real life, I have to say it's the sexiest aircraft I've ever seen in person... this includes ponies, jugs, corsairs and several others....

19 years in the Air Force and still going strong. I see airplanes come and go, and have worked at many an air show. And get tons of pics and read lots of stuff.

I have an affinity for the T37 Dragon fly and other like minded mid 1960-80's small country Air to Ground Platforms. Probably because so many can be purchased reasonably (50-100K USD) and you can fly them all over the place.

No contest:

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

The wartime P38s don't have the sleek lines the XP38 did.

I am with Saxman and Steve.  Connecticut has far too many stuck up, snobby, superficial places and people for our very own official State Warbird to be anything but the best looking.
