M26 Pershing tank

i was wondering about this tank. it was used by the U.S. durring the battle at the rhine, and was far superior to any panzer. it had a 90 mm gun, and 2 .30 cal co-axle mg's. it had a poor power-to-weight ratio, but could reach speeds of 30 mph. i dont know how thick the armor was, but it was thick, like a tiger.

now, i know this would be WAY overkill for alot of tanks, but it could be perked like the tiger, or more. this would be a cool addition, and we'd have something that would be effective against a tiger, other than another tiger.

yea, very nice tank.. theres a infamous video on youtube of one chasing a panther and pwning it

That was a Super Pershing and only 3 of those saw limited action in the winter of '44/45.

The video isn't infamous either, unless you're using the Three Amigo's definition that the video is so famous that it's Infamous.

Ewww its so ugly! I think the firefly we have now does just fine against tigers. What we need is a sherman!

i think its kinda purty :D

the firefly is a sherrman, only with a longer gun and more armor.

Why do you want another panzer? Or was the Sherman equivelant to the panther? I forget.

And does anyone remember that nazi uber tank posted a while back?

great post, i had mentioned something about the Pershing in the wishlist forum.  It was a heavy tank, but a historical account of the Battle of Elsdorf showed that the Tiger still reigned supreme as even the pershing had to fire at point blank range, though at any point in the Tigers armore other than front.  So I ghuess it should be perked, but not as high as the Tiger.  Maybe something 3/4 of what Tiger is perked at?

yeah, the tiger still has better armor. base perk is 40, right? so the pershing could be 40 or 45, because it still has a bigger gun, and its faster.

It would depend on which variant of the Pershing.  The Super Pershing with the 90 mm main gun would easily kill any tank in AH with one shot at long ranges and stand toe to toe with a Tiger quite easily.
