X-wing gunsight

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but as it is user-created, I think this is right. I have made an X-wing gunsight, it looks like the gunsight seen in A New Hope, and though it may not look as nice, it looks pretty similar to what I remember.



If I can get more material, I might attempt a TIE fighter gunsight...I hope.

Put a dot in the middle of it, and it'll be my new in-game gunsight.

Use that sight and change your 20mm hispano sounds to the turbo lasers from Star Wars and you're all set. :)

Do you want it to be a two by two pixel dot or something bigger?

IIRC VansCrew set his .50 caliber sounds to the Star Wars lasers.  It was friggin hilarious!

Bwahahahhahahha!     First coffee stains on my new monitor- thanks Soul!

Now, what AH fighter would be the X-Wing?  Typhie or some version of the Spit?    FWIW in the '38, I always felt a little bit like a Y-wing, I guess because of the twin booms.

Aye, I use it as the gunsight in the 38s, my P-51B (X-wing, it's fast, not as maneuverable, and has four guns.), the Yak, and the F4Us.

Gents, if you move your head position almost all the way forward (in a 38J or L), it looks like the inside cockpit of an X-Wing..... :rock

Ok, does anyone have a good image of the Tie Fighter's gunsight from ANH? All my Star Wars movies are still on VHS and Google is not being my friend. Higher definition is preferable, or at least above 200px X 200px.

X-wing = speed, durability, A2G capability = Typhoon or P-51B (P-51D has too great of a Rate of Fire)
Y-wing = P-38
TIE fighter = A6M Zero

I wouldn't mind having the Star Wars laser and/or cannon effects as sound files, either.  :lol
