Backround Music
« on: August 12, 2009, 10:32:20 PM »
Anybody else hearing backround music randomly while playing.

it sounds like a cross between call of duty fines hour, band of brothers and medal of honor.

its great music, although noone else seems to hear it but me.

i know its coming out of my speakers because i can change its volume.

it happens randomly in flight or in the tower.

just want to know i dont have to call a therapist.

Most likely your soundpack.  I remember hearding some of the "base under attack" sounds that were clips from movie soundtracks.

There are also some "interesting" check-6 sounds.

Sandwich, if you are using sound packs, taht's likely where the music is coming from. i know there's a soundpack I used that had a very epic sweeping style orchestral sound that came every time a base was under attack, instead of hearing "Your base is under attack" you'd hear that music and the standard air-raid klaxon.

I'm basically here to lower the 39th's score :P

I've heard sirens before coming from a specific direction when flying far away from any base.

That's my soundpack sandwich.  If you want to turn it off, simply delete or rename the warning.wav file, it will revert to the default sound.

I have the EXACT issue (and have had for quite some time), except no sound pack in place on the new version.  Launch from a base under attack and you can hear that bloody siren for thirty miles.  I've gotten so accustomed to it, I couldn't even tell you if it eventually shuts down but I believe it does.

Skuzzy pointed a finger at my Turtle Beach Riviera sound card but that's what I have for now.

I have an Audigy ZS 2 sound card.

It came from one direction while flying a TBM on the deck in the middle of the ocean.
