I have a few questions about my computer.

1. How do i remove Limewire?
2. Is there anyway to get my Internet Explorer 7 working? (It says: Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search. )
3. I have alot of junk (Useless crap) in my computer, i have tried deleting and cleaning out alot of files and nothing but a slight change in memory, how do i get rid off it?
4. I wish to delete everything and start fresh, but i don't want my Norton gone, how can i do this? (If you can find an answer to all three then forget this one.)

The first thing you _should_ do is get the Norton away if you want a speedyer computer. Especially if you have 360.

The best way to achieve this is to reinstall your whole operating system. Put the OS cd in, choose 'install' and when asked, install a new operating system deleting the old files in windows folder. That way you have a clean fresh start without having to actually format the harddrive.

After you finish installing the XP you can use windows update to download IE7 update or better yet, IE8. Which you shouldn't use for browsing naturally unless you want your computer slow down again and get a gazillion malware / viruses on it.

Download Firefox or Google Chrome and use them whenever you can instead of IE. Only use IE if you absolutely have to use some horribly badly made site that works only with iE.

You will never fully get rid of limewire at this level.  Sounds like corrupt files to me.  I would suggest since you want your system clean and free of un-needed installs, best thing to do is a CLEAN install of your operating system, then reinstall Norton.  Before starting the clean install you would want to go to device manager and record what your components are, locate the drivers via disks or the internet, find your motherboard maker model and version number so you can obtain the drivers for it too.  This is the best method.

Remember to back up any files - photos, music etc - to a USB stick or DVD before you start.

Don't worry about Norton - there are some very good free alternatives that - as MrRipLey pointed out - will be far lees of a hog on your system's resources. Try Avast for example.

I would back up your important files, my hard drive has been on the blink for several weeks and died rather abruptly during an aces high sortie last night.  Thankfully i backed up a lot of things the previous weekend.   I bought myself a shiney new hard drive today.

Had a pooched version of 8 the other day on a vista machine.  I think the customer had installed 8 then did a system restore back to 7, but the result was neither 7 or 8 would work or install.   Came across this site from MS with a command to run at the prompt that solved the problem.  If you ever have problems with IE after updating to 8 I suggest you try it.

It would probably be a god idea to back up your driver files.
look in your windows/system32 file under drivers. just in case you run into any problems and need them.
as mentioned before backup all you photos, music or important documents.
Hopefully you have another pc that you can access the internet with to d/l any other drivers you may need and or ask questions here.
If your not experienced or have never done this before you will have ALOT of questions, rarely does it all go completly smoothly when your doing it for the first time. Good luck and may the pc gods smile on you

EDIT: after rereading your post I feel compelled to point out that you NEVER EVER EVER just delete a program! always use the uninstaller or use windows uninstaller from the control panel. you can delete files like dos, pics ect but when you just delete a program your doing damage to your dll library and registry files.
