I've always said if i ever got married and wanted to have fun naming my kids it'd be easy to do.

They'd all have just the letter "A" for there middle name. Then i'd name them things like "Run, Hop, Skip, Tag".

Did i mention my last name is Long? :rofl

Know a gal who named her son Seven.  I think she was on drugs.

Or a big Seinfeld fan ;)

my sister had a girl with the name Female (Fe-Mall-E) start at her company. she said when the mother was giving birth, she was so drugged up that when they said it was a girl and asked what to name her she just spelled female. and the daughter decided to keep the name.

others that are horrible as names (but funny):
toejamhead (shi-thay-a)
A$shole (ash-ole-e)
La-a (la-dash-a)

could you imagine being a teacher and seeing LA-A as a name and thinking WTF?

Whatever happened to names like Audry, Veronica, Claudette, Faye, even Anne? Please stop your baby's momma from making such horrid name choices in the future.

I just got my youngest one's 5th grade class list.  The names being given to girls these days is atrocious!

(for the record, mine is named Eleanor.)

This is one of my most hated things.....

It's happening in Australia too.... imagine 'Skyler' and 'Tawler' in an Australian accent so awful it makes even me cringe.... It makes me want to stab my ears out of my head.

I have no problem with unusual names.... but they should be classic...... and SPELT CORRECTLY.

How culturally insensitive...

After all, whats wrong with Nokzema, Tawanda, Micheal, and Dewan?

Who's to say their "impression" of spelling is any less valid than yours? I mean, you may, in your homophobic, misogynistic, white imperialist way, think that 2+2 = 4. Their "impression" may differ.

Why be so moored to empiricity when everyone knows that airplanes fly due to the overwhelming hipness of the Bernoulli principle?

Sorry, somebody had to proxy for the hard left today. I'll give your bricks an address for some appropriate windows.

The wife and I have been back and forth on this many times.  We know they all have to be "M" names even though tons of people tell me it's stupid for everyone to have the same first initial but I don't care, I'm gonna do it.  We already have Matt, Megan, and the dogs, Max and Milo, so there's going to be some "M" names when kids come along.  We differ on a few especially middle names.

I'd love to have the middle name of one pronounce Shu-Theed, you can guess how that's spelled.  I just want to see the look on a Kindergarten teacher's face when they go to read that name out loud.

I was joking one day and of course was thinking about alcohol and threw out Margarita, Michelob, and then one she actually liked for a boy....Miller.  I said absolutely not, don't like that one.

One of my good buddies called just yesterday and said that they found out they were having a girl and have the name picked out.....Paisley.  First I called him a redneck because he is, I know that came from Brad Paisley.  Second, I told him Paisley was an awesome stripper name and hopefully she looked like her mom instead of her dad so she could be somewhat successful at her career.

The only thing worse than a thick Australian accent is a Kiwi accent, mate.
