Your right Karaya but its debatable whether that fact should be celebrated or shunned. Is it right to publicly shun a customer infront of an audience declaring ones superiority due to rank online? Eh, I think we're reaching very deep water here.

As for being an expert in Development and Customer Service, or rather not being, I currently work in the first and have worked in the second. Working in the second I do not recall as pleasant.  However gyrene you are right by suggesting I am expert in neither. I will add thought that attempting to undermine ones personal background to defeat his or her arguments is a one way road to failure.

And please skuzzy/hitech not this time.. don't do it  :rofl

Kurwa eh!?  :D

Absolutely.   In the first place it is about "respect".   Respect is "earned and reciprocated", but Killert is "expecting respect".   There is a huge difference and he was abrasive as well to which Dale responded.   Again, this thread's first post should have been in an email or PM, NOT a Forum post.

I worked in Customer Service with GM and Ford for 7 years.   I spoke with VP's on down.  The higher you went, the more they balled over trivial things.   But, you treat them kindly, as when you hang up, you know they're overpaid babies.

But being a "paid customer" and "demanding change or else".   Well, Dale already said to him "I'm not forcing you to stay here."   In both of these threads I stand behind Dale for simple, rational Common Sense.

I like Skuzzy's edits...  :D  They can be fun.

Here's a question for you Santaana since you appear to be stuck on the semantics of right and wrong. Don't you think 6 or 7 pages of people arguing whether killert5, clutz or anyone else, has the right to post a childish outcry personally directed at the owner and staff of a company simply gives feeds their egotistic belief that they are entitled to do such things in a privately owned space?
I mean seriously, this thread and the several others like it are totally off base and have no purpose than to give a person prone to childish behavior a means to vent needlessly and gain unwarranted sympathy. Not only that, but they are totally in violation of Rule #4.

Quote
4- Flamebaiting, flaming, being abusing, being disrepectful, trolling, spamming or posting to incite or annoy is not allowed. If you cannot make a positive contribution to the thread, then just stay out of it.

As such and since the owner has been blatantly disrespected, it is neither you're place nor anyone that of anyone else to voice your judgment on his responses to the individuals posting such disrespect. The man is human, he runs his company in the manner he sees fit, and if he did not know what he was doing, he would have been out of business long ago.

I see your point Karaya and thanks for taking your time to respond. Whilst I think your point is valid from an online community point of view, it falters in my mind from a purely business perspective. HTC is both.
Having said that at the end of the day we are all just members of an online community that like to fly ww2 era planes on their screen. I'm still a spit dweeb and you a p-38 dweeb  :D so that point is even more valid.

Gyrene I agree with you. But that is also why we both got skuzzified. My reponse to your violation of rule 4 was also a violation of rule 4.

Justified?  In throwing a tantrum?  BS!  He's doing the exact same thing you all are jumping on killert5 about.  If he can't stand the heat. . . .etc.  And that has done no good other than to show his own immaturity and his misguided sense of superiority!

Hmm, what post were you reading? HT said "sorry for your problem" followed by "with your attitude, don't expect help from me". No where near a tantrum.

While I am perfectly willing to discuss HT's level of maturity with you (never know...we might agree :)), his "sense of superiority" on the issue of the game and company that HE created is unassailable. In point of fact, your posts come closer to tantrums than his.

Now in SOME (very few) of those "whiners" defense...

PK...

I understand. I had a similar problem when I first used the update. It was quickly corrected. Besides....it's much more fun to throw the really big rock and not aim.  :devil

Hooch, you are the dumbest person on this forum and a perfect example of . . . .

As you have totally missed my point, Xasthur, I will type slower as I explain it in another way.  If HT wants to censor anyone's speech for being what you have deemed as "stupid", he has that right as this is his private forum.  My point is that it is not your place to determine the "stupidity" of a given person's opinion.  The only reason I mentioned the First Amendment is that in a democracy we are secure enough in our existence that we need not resort to banning people for disagreeing with the powers that be.  And that is why we chose to leave your "empire" 233 years ago!

That is also why, I believe, that in all of your pompous bombast you will find that HiTech has not, after all, banned killert5 from this community.

Well, the "no help from me" bit seems a little tantrumish, don't you think?  And if he's so damnned superior, why do you need to defend him?

Why would you give up being a "sucker for sluts", as Karaya says, to jump in this dog fight?
